How watch netflix videos on Android TV Boxes.

As most of the Android TV Box does not have all the apps in their Play store especially Netflix, it becomes difficult for normal users to get netflix easily.
We have two options to play netflix videos, First is to download netflix app from other appmarket or second is to download and install the kodi along with the netflix plugin.

Let us start with the first option which is to download and install netflix app using third party app market.

How to get Netflix on Android TV Box using Netflix App.

  1. Download and install XAPK Installer app from here – This will ask you to allow installing of unknown apps on the device so press the setting button and you will see Install Unknown App toggle switch, please enable that.
  2. Download Netflix App XAPK file from here
  3. Open XAPK Installer App and let it scan your local storage.
  4. You will see netflix xapk file name on the screen and then you need to press install, this will install the netflix app on the device.

How to get Netflix on Android TV Box using Kodi Plugin.

  1. Install kodi from the play store or any appmarket you have on the device.
  2. Download the netflix plugin repository from this Link
  3. Open Kodi and click on Add-ons > My Add On > All > InputStream Adaptive > Enable. Next go back to the home screen.
  4. Click on Add-ons > Box Button on top Left > Install from Zip file > Browse to the zip file you downloaded in Step 2 and select it.
  5. Click on Install from repository > CastasgnaIT Repository for Kodi 18.x (LEIA) > Video Add-ons > Netflix > Install > Select Version 1.0.0 (As it have all the dependencies for Android). You can update it to 1.1.1 later.
  6. Now you can see Netflix Icon in Add-Ons.
  7. Click on Netflix, it will ask for netflix login and take you to the profile.
  8. Now you will be able to watch netflix without any issue on your Android TV Box with Kodi.

After doing all of this you will finally be able to watch netflix video only in either 540p or max 720p if your device can handle it. If you’re still not able to watch it then the device make not be having L3 Widevine certification. To check this you can download DRM Info app from the play store and check it yourself.
